Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care of a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. This 16 hour course will provide you with the skills and confidence to assess and treat trauma and illnesses in the backcountry when help is more than an hour away. For Scouting BSA Leaders, this training will prepare you to take a unit to a high adventure base.
Minimum age for this course is 16.
