SUMMARY:Wilderness First Aid with Land Trust of North Alabama
DESCRIPTION:Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care of a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available.  This 16 hour course will provide you with the skills and confidence to assess and treat trauma and illnesses in the backcountry when help is more than an hour away. For Scout Leaders\, this training will prepare you to take a unit to a high adventure base. \n\n\n\nThis course is being taught in cooperation with the North Alabama Land Trust. \n\n\n\nMinimum age for this course is 16. \n\n\n\nWe consider CPR to be integral to wilderness medicine\, so our course includes CPR training. \n\n\n\nSchedule: 8am to 5pm each day. Please be onsite and ready to start class by 7:30am each day.
